Note	On 5th October 1824, Samuel Ramsay was admitted to the freedom by service in the Company of Stationers. He was the son of Thomas Ramsay of Ridgemont, Bedford, Schoolmaster, and had served an apprenticeship to Andrew Spottiswoode, Citizen and Stationer, from 7 February 1815 for 7 years.
