Details to be checked:-
On the 30th April 1903, when George was aged thirty and his children were aged 2 years and two months and 6 months, he was fatally injured in a mining fall-in at No 2 of Zorvastia mine, Bardoc. He suffered a fractured skull, shock and
haemorrhage and died 10 hours later in the public hospital at Broad Arrow ‏(105/03)‏
He is buried on private property in Bardoc - one of two well kept graves with unusual railings and fancy metal work - cared for by the owners of the property.
When he was baptised on 15th April 1872 at Kilmore ‏(No 18369)‏, sponsors were Thomas Dean and Margaret Jessop ‏(aunt)‏ George was in Bardoc WA in August 1898 and married Margaret Steedman at Coolgardie East in 1900 ‏(188/00)‏
On his tombstone is written "In Loving Memory of George Augustus Jessop, who departed this life on the 30th April 1903, aged 30 years R.I.P. erected by his loving wife and brother Margaret E & Thomas J Jessop - Oh for the touch of a vanished
hand or the sound of a voice that is still."‏[stephens family tree.FTW]‏
